The Covid-19 Pandemic hit in 2020, shutting down schools worldwide, and we—the founders of the E=MC^2 math club enrichment program—moved to "distance learning." After the end of lockdown, we entered into the 9th grade and realized the huge impact COVID-19 had on education across all levels. Determined to help, we decided to target the foundation of a student's learning journey: elementary school.
Over the summer, we got together and crafted plans. We approached their former 6th grade teacher Ms. Cook and proposed our idea. On September 11th, 2022, Math Club officially started as we taught an eager group of 4th to 6th graders in the school's MPR. We soon expanded to North Davis and Pioneer elementaries the next year.
Through our years of experience working in the community and the diverse student body, our curriculum and lessons have evolved to be versatile, capable of catering to EVERYONE, ranging from challenging & advanced to fun & intriguing to the foundational & essentials. We enrich students with both California curriculum standards and our mix of interesting math, fun activities, and engaging builds!
